Mobjack Alumni Rowers Continue to Compete Against Each Other

alum_rowersWhat a terrific sport that allows alumni to stay competitive and connected as friends at the collegiate level and beyond! Alum rower Phil Machen and his boat raced the Championship 4 at the Head of the Hooch and won. Phil happened to race against alum rower Matt Muffelman…and beat him.

Mobjack Rowing Wins Gold at 2014 Henley

Mobjack Rowing women win the Ronda Henning Memorial Trophy in St. Catherines Canada at the 2014 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.  Senior Women’s 52 Kg Coxed four rowed by Logan Howlett, Jamie Robins, Mackenzie Marbain, Maddy Hogge, and Coxed by Kaitlyn Christine Thompson came home with a large trophy for the team. However, this is not the first time that the team has won this trophy.  They have also returned with their names engraved on the same trophy in 2008, 2001 and 2000.  Congratulations Mobjack!

MRA’s mission is to provide rowing programs to the public and gives Gloucester, Mathews and other high school rowers a structure to row under outside of their spring high school programs. MRA also provides learn to row, adult & adaptive rowing programs for the public.
